What do you think of Pharmacies in Hertfordshire?
What are pharmaceutical services?
In Hertfordshire, pharmaceutical services are provided by community pharmacies (chemists), including those operating in local supermarkets, internet pharmacies and providers of specialist medical appliances (such as stoma products).
Community pharmacies also provide healthcare support and advice and are often the first point of contact when people are concerned about their health.
What is this survey about?
To ensure you can access pharmaceutical services easily and are happy with the service you receive, anybody who uses local pharmaceutical services is invited to comment.
The Hertfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board have a statutory duty to publish a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment every three years, under the NHS (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013.
The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment is a report used to identify any gaps in current services, or improvements that could be made in future pharmaceutical service provision.
It will be used by NHS England, Hertfordshire County Council, and the Integrated Care Boards to make decisions when applications for new pharmacies are received and for the commissioning of other services that could be delivered by community pharmacies and other providers.
How can I complete the survey?
A questionnaire has been developed to get your views on the pharmaceutical services that you use. It should take no longer than five minutes to complete. The information you provide is confidential.
You can complete this questionnaire online at: Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2025 Public Questionnaire Hertfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board
Paper copies of the questionnaires are also available on request. Please email pna@soarbeyond.co.uk or phone 01442 927 972.
